The Microtek ObjectScan 1600 captures specimens from above, allowing fragile material to remain face up during digitization. A 1600 dpi color CCD and adjustable scanning bed support detailed capture across a 304.8 x 424.18 mm area. Its extended depth of field accommodates raised specimen features. Optional botanical software can recognize specimen labels and connect image capture with metadata and archive management.
